Despite only starting to train and play club soccer at age 12, Alex Glass has quickly developed into one of the top strikers in the Wsahington DC region. His combination of speed, power and ability to finish with either foot enabled him to register 18 goals in 9 matches in the fall 2024 season. Fall 2024 Highlights
Due to his family moving to the USVI during COVID, Alex only started training and playing select soccer in fall 2023. His athleticism and work ethic have enabled him to rapidly develop his technical ability and understanding of the game as he's developing into a. top striker prospect.
Alex currently plays with Mclean Soccer Club. He's exploring which side he'll play for in 2025.
Alex trains with Nextstar Soccer as well as HP Elite and individual coaches in the DMV. In 2025 he'll be training in England and France as he continues to develop.
Alex will be training in France and Spain during summer 2025.
Alex is an A student at Maret School in DC. Math is his favorite subject, and he's quickly learning French. Outside of school and football, Alex is an avid gamer with Fifa and Roblox being his favorites. In his free time Alex is also an excellent surfer.
Alex is a US citizen, but is in the process of obtaining Austrian (EU) citizenship. He should be a dual citizen by the time he turns 16.
Alex supports DC United in the MLS but is all in on Chelsea as his favorite club.

While Alex enjoyed playing rec soccer as a young kid and showed promise, he didn't want to focus solely on soccer when he was young. Then COVID hit in 2020 (when he was 9) and his family moved to the US Virgin Islands until 2022. Alex became interested in focusing on soccer in the spring of 2022. In the fall of 2023 he started training and started playing striker with a travel club.
Alex's dad played goalkeeper at Yale and prior to college spent the summer of 1998 training with Mark Crossley and David Beasant as a keeper at Nottingham Forest ahead of their Premier League campaign. Alex's mom was a level 9 gymnast and his uncle was the South African men's national champion in figure skating.
